The Bank of Korea is expected to lower South Korea's growth forecast for 2020 from a point-two percent contraction to as low as a mid-to-low one percent dip,... following a recent spike in the number of COVID-19 cases.
The relevant teams under the central bank are conducting repeated revisions of its economic forecast ahead of a scheduled press briefing on Thursday.
The central issue is how much of an adjustment should be made to a point-2 percent on-year contraction projected in May,... which will be premised on the situation of the outbreak as well as the government's response.
