S. Korea's exports fall 23.6% y/y in first 10 days of August

So far this month, South Korea's exports are down almost 24 percent compared to the same period last year.
That's according to the Korea Customs Service, which says in the first ten days of August, exports came to 8-point-7 billion U.S. dollars.
There was one fewer working day compared to last year though, so the daily average so far in August represents an on-year a decrease of 12-point-7 percent.
For the last two months, exports seemed to be recovering they were down around 11 percent in June and then seven percent in July.
As for imports, they're down 24 percent so far in August to 10-point-6 billion dollars.
