Hong Kong opposition activist Agnes Chow swept up in Hong Kong arrests under security law

Prominent Hong Kong opposition activist Agnes Chow Ting was arrested on August 10, 2020, under the new national security law. A statement on Chow’s Facebook account said “dozens of Hong Kong police” arrived at her residence at around 9pm and “arrested her on the charge of ‘colluding with foreign forces’ under the National Security Law". Chow was among 10 people arrested in the most high-profile police operation under national security law since the measure was imposed on the city on June 30.
