German FM welcomes S. Korea's participation in G7 summit, rejects Russia

Germany says it welcomes South Korea's participation in an upcoming G7 summit.
During a joint press conference at the Berlin Wall Memorial on Monday,... German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas called South Korea an "important" country in the world during his meeting with South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha.
However Germany's top diplomat made it clear that the country is against expanding the group if it involves accepting Russia back in,... which was an idea put forth by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Kang welcomed the invitation and said the country will actively take part in the forum.
