The crime boss, Jose Antonio Yepez Ortiz, 40, alias El Marro, who allegedly runs the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel, was arrested on Sunday in an operation that took place in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato. The cartel is known for the robbery of petrol and is even reported to have threatened the life of Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. The General Attorney of the State of Guanajuato shared a video on their official Twitter profile with a post stating that El Marro will be "charged for the crime of kidnapping”.
