Rio de Janeiro military firefighters have carried out over 630 along the state’s beaches in the first week of ‘Operation Summer’.
Military Firefighters Corps of the State of Rio de Janeiro posted the video on social media on 27th December with the message: “First weekend of Operation Summer on the beaches!
“The #RJ Fire Department carried out over 630 rescues and about 26,000 preventions along the coast of Rio de Janeiro. Approximately 100 children received assistance from lifeguards to locate their guardians.
“In the area of the 3rd GMar (Copacabana), 214 rescues were carried out; at Recreio dos Bandeirantes, 176 rescues; and in the area of the 18th GBM (Cabo Frio), 105.”
