A massive wildfire in southern California has been burning for the past few days amid a scorching heatwave that has seen the mercury top 40 degrees Celsius.
Local authorities say low moisture and high temperatures have intensified the blaze.
The fire in Riverside County, among several wildfires across California, has burnt down more than 108 square kilometers of forest.
The fire broke out on Friday evening, local time, in Cherry Valley, a town located 137 kilometers from LA.
Around eight-thousand residents have been forced to evacuate, and five buildings had been destroyed, including at least one home.
Authorities said on Monday that the fire had been sparked by a malfunctioning diesel vehicle.
