An unexpected landslide struck a high-mountainous road obstructing traffic on the entire stretch of the route in northeastern India's Sikkim.

The incident took place on the road connecting Legship to Jorethang in West Sikkim on July 24.

The dramatic video shows massive boulders and loose rocks raining down from the steep terrain of the mountain in several waves.

A few people can be seen gathered in the area while observing the incident from a distance.

According to reports, the debris piled up on the road halted transit on the roadway along the entire stretch.
