Sudden landslide in northern India leaves hundreds of vehicles stranded

Hundreds of vehicles have been left stranded in northern India.

The 270-km-long highway, which is the only all-weather road link between Kashmir and the rest of the country, was blocked by a landslide at the Ramsoo area in the District of Jammu and Kashmir India on Tuesday (March 10).

Rescue services have been deployed to clear the area.

According to local media, no new vehicle shall be allowed from either side of the road until after clearance.
