Kaziranga reels under floods: Wildlife at risk as over 100 animals die | Ground report

Nearly 90 per cent of the famous Kaziranga National park reels under water as flood wreck havoc in Assam. With the park waist-deep in water, rhinos, elephants and deer have been forced to seek refuge on roads and in human settlements. The deluge has so far killed 120 animals including 11 rhinos, while 147 others were rescued in Kaziranga National Park, a bulletin said, quoting the forest officer of the Eastern Assam Wildlife Division.
