A U.S. website that monitors North Korea, 38 North, said Friday that an unidentified object at Sinpo South Shipyard could be a new type of midget submarine.
The 16-meter long object has been visible from May 27th, but the size makes it unlikely to be a submarine-launched ballistic missile, or SLBM, canister.
While the North's new submarine is reportedly close to launching, the source says that there have not been any noticeable activities observed in the country.
Much attention has been focussed on North Korea's Sinpo shipyard... as Kim Jong-un's personal plane was detected in the North's airspace...possibly heading to Sinpo.
