Taiwan marks anniversary of Asia's first law legalising gay marriage

Taiwan marked its first anniversary of legalising same sex marriage. The self-ruled island’s top court ruled in favour of same sex marrriage on May 24, 2019. However, Taiwanese cannot marry same sex partners if they come from a place where gay marriage is still not recognised.
