Korean Air is to raise roughly 820 million U.S. dollars by selling stocks,... as part of self-help measures to handle the coronavirus crisis.
Shareholders will be given the right to buy 79 million stocks expected to be issued at just over 10 dollars each,... though the final price is to be determined in early July.
The new shares will be listed on the 29th of that month.
The carrier's parent, Hanjin KAL, will decide Thursday whether to inject over 240 million dollars into the airline.
The Korean Air has suspended over 90 percent of its flights using international routes since late March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
