DOH: COVID-19 cases now 11,618

The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 268 new coronavirus disease cases on May 13, Wednesday, bringing the country’s total to over 11,600.
The DOH said that there were 11,618 people that have been infected with the novel coronavirus since the start of the outbreak in January.
Out of the new confirmed cases, the Health department noted that 165 cases were found in Metro Manila, 58 cases in Central Visayas, and 45 cases in other regions.
The latest data also bared 145 new recoveries, raising the total tally of individuals who have survived from COVID-19 to 2,251.
However, the number of those who died has increased by 21 to 772, the DOH said.
