A Taiwanese national has been deported from South Korea for refusing to be transferred to a quarantine facility after entering the country.
According to the Ministry of Justice the woman in her thirties was deported, due to quarantine accommodation costs issues.
This is the first case of a foreigner being deported for refusing to follow quarantine rules since the COVID-19 outbreak.
The South Korean government had earlier banned 11 foreign nationals from entering the country for refusing to be quarantined.
The authorities will check on foreigners who are under self-quarantine,... and make a decision on whether to any deport violators.
