BJP ने कहा है कि अगर राकांपा और कांग्रेस सरकार छोड़ने की धमकी देकर शिवसेना पर मुस्लिम कोटा देने का दबाव बनाएं तो वह महाराष्ट्र सरकार का हाथ थामेगी.BJP नेता सुधीर मुगंतीवार ने कहा कि उनकी पार्टी का मानना है कि आरक्षण धर्म के आधार पर नहीं दिया जा सकता. अगर धर्म के आधार पर ही आरक्षण दिया जाना है तो सिखों और ईसाइयों ने क्या गलती की है?' बीजेपी नेता ने कहा कि शिवसेना कांग्रेस -एनसीपी की धमकी की चिंता नहीं करनी चाहिए.
