The festival of Lohri is quite popular in Punjab. With the passing of time, it is being seen from many states of the country and abroad. It is said that if there is no rain at the time of Lohri, the farmers have to bear the loss. On the night of Lohri festival, the family and people from the neighborhood gather to celebrate the lohri.

लोहड़ी का त्योहार पंजाब में काफी लोकप्रिय है। समय गुजरने के साथ देश के कई राज्यों से लेकर विदेशों में इसकी धूम देखने को मिल रही है। कहा जाता है कि अगर लोहड़ी के समय बारिश ना हो तो किसानों को नुकसान उठाना पड़ता है। मान्यता है कि इस दिन पश्चिम दिशा की तरफ ही मुख करके पूजा की जाती है। लोहड़ी पर्व की रात को परिवार और आस-पड़ोस के लोग इकट्ठे होकर लकड़ी जलाते हैं।
