इस साल मलमास का आगाज 16 दिसंबर से होगा जो 14 जनवरी 2020 को समाप्त होगा। तकरीबन एक महीने के लिए मांगलिक कार्य रोक दिए जाते हैं। मकर संक्रांति के साथ ये माह खत्म होता है जब सूर्य मकर राशि में चला जाता है। इसके बाद एक बार फिर शुभ कार्यों का सिलसिला शुरू हो जाएगा। मलमास के दौरान किसी भी शुभ कार्य को करने की मनाही होती है।
