Fitch affirms A+ rating for China, lowers 2020 growth forecast

Global credit rating agency Fitch has decided to keep its long-term currency rating for China at A-plus with a stable outlook.
That's mainly because of what it called Beijing's "robust" external finances and "strong" macroeconomic performance.
Fitch also said it expects China will see growth slow down next year to 5-point-7 percent,... down slightly from around 6 percent this year.
The agency said it took into account the negative impact of the U.S.-China trade war,... including possible new 15-percent tariffs on Chinese goods from next month.
But it also suggested the possibility of the two sides reaching a partial trade deal,... which could postpone or remove some tariffs.
