The number of Korean companies in the world's top 5-hundred by market capitalization is down to just two.
According to Korea Exchange on Thursday,… South Korea's tech giant Samsung Electronics is ranked 20th with a market cap of 2-hundred-68 billion U.S. dollars.
Major chipmaker SK hynix is ranked 2-hundred-67th …with 52 billion dollars.
Apple leads the ranking with a market cap of one-point-two trillion dollars,… with Microsoft and Google's Alphabet making up the top three.
At the end of 2010,... eight Korean companies were in the top five-hundred.
