Korean researchers find anti-cancer substance that selectively kills tumor cells
  • 4 years ago
Korean researchers have found a new anti-cancer compound that kills lung tumor cells without hurting normal cells.
According to the Korea Institute of Science and Technology today,... the compound deactivates an enzyme called PDHK,... which prevents cancer cells from growing.
It was found to have this effect even when used by itself, but even more so when used with other cancer drugs.
The research team expects it can also be used to treat other diseases exacerbated by PDHK,... such as diabetes.
