High school students to get free education partly in 2020 to all in 2021
  • 4 years ago
Starting next year, sophomores and seniors of public high schools will be exempted from paying any educational fee.
The National Assembly passed two revised bills, the "Financial Grants for Local Education" as well as the "Elementary and Secondary Education Act" at a plenary session,...making free education legitimate.
The legislation will expand to all high school students, including freshmen, starting 2021.
The government made this possible by granting 5-year subsidies to secure free education until 2024, with plans to expand the financial aid by stages.
