At the UN General Assembly, South Korea has submitted a resolution to the main committee on disarmament,... to try and get young people more involved in the issue.
According to Seoul's foreign ministry, the resolution calls on UN member states to come up with programs and platforms to support this.
This is the first time South Korea has submitted a resolution to this particular body,... known as the First Committee.
The foreign ministry noted that the Assembly's other main committees have already taken up issues for young people... but the First Committee has not, so this shows South Korea's determination to take the lead on this front.
