President Ram Nath Kovind has approved the proposal to make Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde the new Chief Justice of the country. Justice Bobde will take oath on 18 November as CJI. The current Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi is retiring on 17 November. Justice Bobde will be the 47th Chief Justice of the country, on 18 November he will be sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and his term will be till 23 April 2021.

राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने जस्टिस शरद अरविंद बोबडे को देश का नया मुख्य न्यायाधीश बनाने के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी है. जस्टिस बोबडे 18 नवंबर को बतौर CJI शपथ लेंगे. 17 नवंबर को मौजूदा चीफ जस्टिस रंजन गोगोई रिटायर हो रहे हैं. जस्टिस बोबडे देश के 47 वें चीफ जस्टिस होंगे 18 नवंबर को वो सुप्रीम कोर्ट के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के रूप में शपथ लेंगे और उनका कार्यकाल 23 अप्रैल 2021 तक रहेगा
