Autumn's first yellow dust arrives in S. Korea
  • 4 years ago
Almost on cue,... a deeply unwelcome visitor has reared its ugly head.
The first yellow dust of the season has arrived in South Korea.
Yellow dust from overseas blew in overnight on the back of westerly winds, …raising levels of air pollution in western regions to three to five times higher than usual.
The season's first fine dust advisory has also been issued in Seoul, Incheon, Chungcheongnam-do Province and Jeollabuk-do Province.
Fine dust is expected to affect southern parts of the country in the next couple of hours.
It's best to avoid outdoor activities …and it's advisable to wear a suitable face mask when heading out, particularly if you plan to be outside for a while.
We'll have more on the air pollution during our weather report at the end of this newscast.
