South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon will be attending the enthronement ceremony of Japanese Emperor Naruhito later this month.
According to government sources on Sunday,... Prime Minister Lee will go to Japan from October 22nd to the 24th.
While there, Lee is expected to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe... at a time when ties between Seoul and Tokyo have badly deteriorated over issues of history and trade.
The two sides are expected to discuss issues including Japan's past use of forced labor in Korea, Japan's export curbs on Korea and the termination of the two sides' military intel-sharing pact.
Lee is also likely to bring Abe a message from President Moon Jae-in.
