South Korea is calling on global action... against the Japanese government's plan to release radioactive wastewater from the Fukushima nuclear plant.
Seoul's Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said Sunday... that Korea will raise the issue at a meeting of the International Maritime Organization in London this week.
It said the Tokyo government must come up with a safer plan to dispose the contaminated water.
The ministry also plans to cooperate with Greenpeace... to submit a written inquiry to Japan regarding the matter.
