Defense officials from Seoul and Washington have reaffirmed that it's important to faithfully implement the UN Security Council resolutions while taking a diplomatic approach in dealing with North Korea's denuclearization.
The officials were meeting in Seoul at the 16th Korea-U.S. Integrated Defense Dialogue, held this week for two days.
The South Korean defense ministry says the two also had in-depth discussions of the transfer of wartime operational control to Seoul from Washington,... and agreed to strengthen efforts to achieve it.
And with the defense-cost sharing talks between the two sides having recently kicked off, the two sides reportedly reviewed the progress of their joint task force working to improve the details and implementation of the agreement.
