"ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಯಾವುದೇ ನೆರವಿನ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನೆರೆ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟಾಗ ಕೊಡದೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ತಪ್ಪು. ಆದರೆ ಸದ್ಯ ಅಂತಹ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಇಲ್ಲ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸಂಸದ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಸೂರ್ಯ.
