South Korea and Saudi Arabia have agreed to set up a joint research center on developing nuclear energy for the Kingdom.
They signed two MOUs on Tuesday on the sidelines of the IAEA's General Conference in Vienna.
South Korea's science ministry said officials from both sides agreed to boost cooperation to support the creation and licensing of a small smart nuclear reactor.
They will also work on developing the next generation model of the System-Integrated Modular Advanced Reactor, or SMART, which was originally developed by Korea for small and remote areas.
