How to Run an AppImage on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS?

What is an AppImage?

An AppImage is a downloadable file for Linux that contains an application and everything the application needs to run, like libraries, icons, fonts, translations, etc.

AppImages need to be marked as executable before they can be run. They do not require installation. You just download, make executable, and run.
