The United Nations' Special Rapporteur on North Korea's human rights, Tomas Ojea Quintana, says he will raise the issue of China's repatriation of North Korean defectors at the UN General Assembly next month.
In an interview with Voice of America on Tuesday, Quintana said despite concerns that Beijing should stick to the international agreements made on protecting refugees, there hasn't been any improvement in the situation.
Thus, he will submit his report to the UN next month and reiterate that point.
Quintana also urged Seoul to voice such concerns for North Koreans,... who are, according to the South Korean constitution, people of South Korea.
