The video, filmed in Jinan city in Shandong province on September 8, shows a doctor using a tool to gradually take the garlic out of the man's ear.

The doctor asked the man: "Is it because your ear was itchy, so you inserted the garlic into your ear?"

"No" The man replied.

The man named Wang was reportedly following an online video that instructed him to insert a clove of garlic into his ear to treat his insomnia, but he couldn't take it out.
