Global trade has slowed down for two consecutive months,... a trend not seen since the 2008 global financial crisis.
That's according to the Bank of Korea's monthly publication on Sunday,... which showed that trade around the world decreased in June by one-point-four percent on-month.
The central bank attributed the decline to the weaking of global value chains,... worsened by the ongoing trade dispute between the United States and China.
The bank said the downward trend is likely to continue,... given the uncertainties surrounding the U.S.-China trade war,... America's protectionist trade policies,... as well as the negotiations on Britain's exit from the European Union.
