Typhoon damage including a sea crane collapse being reported from southern regions

As Typhoon Lingling starts affecting South Korea, there is already some damage being reported in the southern part of the country.
For that we have our Kim Da-mi on the line with us.
Da-mi, give us the latest on the damage.
So far, most of the damage is centered on the southern part of the country.
Over 16-thousand homes were without power on Friday night on Jeju island, and in Gwangju city and South Jeollanam-do Province.
That's just according to the Ministry of Interior and Safety on Saturday.
Only one-fifth of those homes had their electricity restored as of 6AM local time.
The typhoon was powerful enough to cause a 3-thousand ton sea crane to collapse in Mokpo city.
Twelve properties have been destroyed on Jeju Island, including a greenhouse which got blown away by the strong winds.
A sewer pipe also overflowed,... streetlights collapsed and trees were uprooted.
Emergency services were called out over 4-hundred times in the southern parts of the nation, and had to rescue a person stuck in an elevator.
On top of that, the typhoon has also affected transport routes, right?
Right, a total of ten airports had to cancel both domestic and international flights from Friday night.
In fact, ALL flights around Jeju Island were cancelled from around 9PM Friday, but as the storm is moving up towards the capital, Jeju International Airport now is back in operation.
Still, passengers are advised to check with their airlines as there may be changes due to the weather.
The Coast Guard also ordered 164 passenger boats to stay in port as of 6AM Saturday.
No fishing boats or cruise ships will be allowed to head out to sea.
As the typhoon moves up the country, it's expected to bring just as much damage as reported so far, and possibly even worse damage. How is the government coping with this weather emergency?
The government raised the emergency level from one to two at 2PM Friday,... and is closing watching the storm's movements.
It has also asked 13 departments including the education office and Korea Electric Power Corporation to prepare all measures against the typhoon.
President Moon Jae-in also on Friday checked all measures to prepare for the typhoon after returning from his ASEAN trip.
