4th Bucheon B-boy International Championship kicks off today

South Korea is renowned as major player in the global b-boying scene.
Local stars are expected to dominate the competition at an international breakdancing event that held in Bucheon,… for its fourth annual edition.
Lee Kyung-eun takes us to the fourth annual International B-Boy Champhionship.
Breakdancers from all over the world will be flashing some intricate moves,... from breaking, popping, spinning, to freezing.
On Friday, the three-day Bucheon B-boy International Championship kicked off in the city of Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do province.
"The competition was moved here to , inside Bucheon City Hall in the last minute, due to Typhoon Lingling. And despite the weather, hundreds of people have come."
Breakdancers from more than 25 countries are taking part,... including India, Morocoo, Tanzania, and Vietnam.
For some of them, it is a platform to show off their dance moves,... while to others, it is a bridge that connects them to other b-boys and girls around the world.
"I am from Vietnam. I came here for the b-boy competition. So today, I am very happy to be here and will try to be in the world final in Bucheon city."
"All these invited b-boys and b-girls and also other artists. It's not really something we can often see in live action. For myself, it's a really good opportunity to see again with my friends worldwide."
Following the preliminary rounds on Friday, there will be a showcase by high-profile b-boy crews on Saturday.
Sunday will be the highlight of the event,… when the final round of the tournament will be held.
The event has also invited hundreds of visitors from home and abroad,… who have come to support their idols or YouTube stars.
"I come just for this jam, BBIC, every year, and this is my fourth year coming here. And I fly out all the way from Houston, Texas to come here for this."
Anyone can come and watch the competitions for free.
Special guest performances will feature the big names in the b-boy scene, such as Jinjo Crew, ZERO BACK, and HOUSE TEAK&TEA SUNG.
For those who are unable to attend the event in person,... will also be streamed live on YouTube.
