MANILA - A Palace spokesman on Monday denied Malacañang is lobbying to have President Aquino nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Speculations have risen the nomination would be for government's peace deal with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. The Palace said the only thing they are lobbying for is the passage of the Bangsamoro Basic Law. Militant group Bayan had said it received credible information the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process is working on Aquino's nomination in time for the President's State of the Nation Address before the end of July. "Sabi niya wala pong ganyang hakbang ginagawa tayo. Ang kanya po lamang nila-lobby ay maganap na ang Bangsamoro agreement. Wala po tayong ganyang proyekto. Mismong ating Pangulo ayaw na ayaw sa pumapapel o nagbibigay atensyon sa kanyang sarili. Allergic po," Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma said. ANC, June 30, 2014
