Djokovic donates prize money to flood victims
  • 5 years ago
Italian Open winner Novak Djokovic is donating his full prize from the tournament to the victims of the massive flooding in Serbia. Djokovic, who defeated Rafael Nadal to win his third Italian Open, got more than $700,000 from the competition. Djokovic had expressed his disappointment at not being able to physically help his countrymen in their time of need. On Wednesday, floodwaters began to recede in Serbia and Bosnia, but the damage caused by the historic floods could cost billions. -- Mornings @ ANC, May 22, 2014.
