MANILA - The Department of Social Welfare and Development is looking for more volunteers to re-pack and distribute relief goods to families affected by floods. Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman assured the public there are enough relief goods for families housed in 425 evacuation sites across the country. She said the government also needs more donations of clothes for the evacuees. "We continue to repack in our national operations center and we still ask for volunteers to deliver the food packs to diferent affected areas. The work now is to continue augmenting the local government units. Our own disaster team people are in the field and working with municipal social welfare and develoment offices. Last night, we have given 20,000 food packs for Region 3," she said. "We have enough of the food stuff. What we just need to do is repack it. We can use more old clothing," she added.
