MANILA - It's old news. Marikina City 2nd District Rep. Miro Quimbo, a former spokesman of the prosecution team in ex-Chief Justice Renato Corona's impeachment trial, made this reaction to a newspaper report that billions of pesos in disbursement acceleration program (DAP) funds were distributed to lawmakers during the trial. Quimbo said prosecutors in the Corona trial did not discuss any monetary reward in pursuing the impeachment of the then Chief Justice. He said congressmen who signed the impeachment complaint believed that Corona should be impeached.
