President Aquino refused to comment on reports several administration allies are involved in the pork barrel scam. Two former officers of the National Agri-business Corporation (NABCOR) have claimed about P1.5 billion of pork funds from over 80 lawmakers were coursed through NABCOR to non-government organizations (NGOs) identified with alleged pork scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles. Aquino said it is better to take action on the matter than issue a statement. But he did say evidence against the accused must be strong.
