Following U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's comments earlier this week -- that what he called North Korea's "rogue behavior" cannot be ignored,... Pyeongyang's top diplomat fired off a warning shot of its own towards Washington.
In a statement, the North Korean diplomat said... that expectations of dialogue are now fading and the U.S. should not test North Korea's patience.

North Korea's senior diplomat said Saturday... that expectations for dialogue with the U.S are now fading.
First Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui said in a statement released through North Korea's state-run media KCNA... that the North has been forced to reconsider all options as their expectations of dialogue with the U.S. are gradually fading.
The statement comes... a few days after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a speech that the U.S. recognized North Korea's rogue behavior could not be ignored.
Choe accused Pompeo of having a hidden agenda and slammed his remarks as
irrational... saying the U.S. will surely regret making such comments.
After the two leaders agreed to hold working-level talks at a surprise meeting at Panmunjom in June,... it was expected that dialogue would soon resume... but little to no progress has been made since then.
Despite Pyeongyang's condemnation however,... the U.S. State Department said in a written response to a query from a Korean news outlet... that it's ready to resume negotiations if the North agrees to do so.
