Police have been forced to fire teargas to disburse a group of Kenya National Union of Teachers officials who had milled around the union’s headquarters in Nairobi this morning. The officials had arrived at the building along Mfangano Street to ostensibly eject their Secretary General Wilson Sossion whom they accused of mismanaging the union. Sossion had obtained a court order on Wednesday blocking the meeting which he claimed was being fronted by the enemies of the union.
