K-pop girl group BLACKPINK's song 'Ddu-Du Ddu-Du',... and boy group BTS's album 'Map of the Soul, Persona' have gone gold.
The Recording Industry Association of America gives gold certification to singles and albums that have sold half a million units,... with each digital download or 150 on-demand audio or video streams also counting as one unit.
This is the first time BLACKPINK have earned gold certification.
It's the second time for BTS, who had their first gold album with 'LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER’ last November.
