Despite the ongoing trade spat between Seoul and Tokyo, the number of Japanese tourists coming to South Korea increased last month.
According to Korea Tourism Organization, the number of Japanese visitors rose 19 point-2 percent in July compared to the same month last year.
That was even bigger than the increase in tourist numbers overall, which rose 15-point-4 percent to an estimated 1-and-a-half million people.
The driving force would have been young Japanese women.
A recent study showed that 63 percent of Japanese tourists are female, and the largest age group were tourists in their 20s and 30s.
