South Korea’s exports for the first ten days of this month fell 22 percent on-year to 11-point-five billion U.S. dollars.
The Korea Customs Service says,.... exports dropped mainly due to poor semiconductor exports and slowing global demand.
Shipments of semiconductor products, which account for about a fifth of the country's total exports, plunged by more than a third.
Shipments of petrochemical goods also dropped by double digits.
Exports to China and the U.S. fell by 28 percent and 20 percent, respectively.... indicating that the ongoing trade spat between South Korea's top two trading partners is weighing on Asia's fourth-largest economy.
