America will not overreact to the recent series of missile launches by North Korea.
That's what U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper told reporters. Highlighting that the key is to keep the door open for diplomacy, the official explained, Washington would instead monitor and watch these activities closely.
Esper confirmed that the projectiles launched on Tuesday are short-range ballistic missiles.
He will be discussing these matters with his South Korean and Japanese counterparts.
The defense chief is due to arrive in Seoul on Friday.
