Flights, ferries cancelled in Busan as Typhoon Francisco moves north

Dozens of flights and ferry routes have been cancelled in the southern city of Busan due to heavy showers and strong winds heralding the arrival of the season's eighth typhoon.
With Typhoon Francisco forecast to slowly make its way across Korea over the coming days,... Busan has already seen heavy downpours combined with wind speeds of up to 25 meters per second.
Around 74 flights were cancelled at Gimhae Airport as of Tuesday afternoon, while ferry routes to and from Japan were also halted.
As the storm moves north, coastal areas in South Gyeongsang-do Province and Gangwon-do Province are expected to be hit the hardest,... with upwards of 200 millimeters of rain.
Authorities forecast the typhoon to gradually run out of steam early Wednesday morning... as it heads out into the East Sea.
