S. Korean won slides to more than 2-year low against U.S. dollar on increased uncertainties

The South Korean won plunged to a more than two-year low against the U.S. dollar on Monday, …amid uncertainties over the U.S.-China trade war and Seoul's own trade dispute with Tokyo.
The local currency was changing hands at 12-hundred-12 won to the greenback as of 10:57 a.m., …down fourteen-point six won from last Friday's close.
This is the first time the won-dollar rate has surpassed the 12-hundred won threshold since January 11th, 2017.
South Korean shares also traded sharply lower on Monday morning as investor sentiment evaporates.
The benchmark KOSPI had plunged 38 points to 19-hundred-60-point-33 as of 11:07 a.m.
