South Korea's consumer price growth remained in the zero-percent range in July,... for the seventh-straight month.
According to data released by Statistics Korea on Thursday,... consumer prices rose zero-point-six percent on-year last month.
It's the longest stretch of below-one-percent price growth... since the February to November period in 2015.
Fruit and vegetable prices fell six-point-four percent on-year, while those of petroleum goods fell five-point-nine percent.
Statistics Korea described the ongoing trend as "disinflation",... due to external factors such as climate change and falling energy prices,... rather than low demand.
